1st & 3rd Wednesdays – The Readers' Community Book Discussion Group — A community of readers who come together twice a month to discuss books. If you like the idea of discussing books you have just read or just want to learn more about a book before you read it, this is the place to be every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month. 2nd Wednesdays – Inspirational 2nd Wednesdays — We review and discuss thought-provoking books from leading authors who are guides to change, growth and self-acceptance. This is an opportunity for readers to reflect and enjoy the opportunity of discussing books that can help change our world for the better. 4th & 5th Wednesdays – Local Authors & Artists — Most 4th and 5th Wednesdays we host a local author or artist who share their talents with us through readings, conversations, special presentations, demonstrations, and/or workshops. Book Sales

We saw another great achievement by a swarm of volunteers to create another successful Quarterly Book Sale. We generated $3,016.75 in revenue to support our library. Several of our regular volunteers were off doing other things this time and we missed them but we also had several new volunteers jump on board to help. As always, it was a great community effort to support our community library.

Random Quote

"Supporting local civic institutions, whatever their specific functions, which cultivate and sustain morale and pride within communities, is one way foundations can sustain civic engagement and democratic aspirations in a dark time. By helping to restore the spirit and cohesiveness of local communities, foundations will also thereby be helping to restore a sense of balance to American values and beliefs. For too long, we have tended to celebrate only the most daring feats of financial success and the flashiest lives of fabulously wealthy and powerful global elites."
–William A. Schambra, "It's Time for Humble Philanthropy," The Chronicle of Philanthropy, April 9, 2009, p. 40.
